IKEA and ASUS 'Republic of Gamers business announced a partnership almost exactly one year ago to produce affordable gaming furniture and accessories line. On October 1st, these products will be available in the United States and the United Kingdom, following their debuts in China and Japan.
They include Uppspel and Lnespelare as well as the matching Gruppsel, Utespelare, and Huvudspellere products, for a total of six product families. The first one was created in close collaboration with ASUS, while the others were created using insights gained from IKEA's time spent working with the company.
The range covers everything from gaming chairs and tables to mouse bungees and ring lights. An inexpensive mouse pad with a polyester top layer costs about $ 6.49; the most expensive gaming workstation costs $ 599.
Some of the items in the collection are "gamified" replicas of IKEA products. As an example, take a look at the Uppspel pegboard. Because of its more aggressive finish, it costs $ 3 more than the Skdis pegboard from the same business. Most gaming devices come with some sort of upselling (see: every RGB-infused device ever), but the majority of the assortment lives up to IKEA's low-cost reputation.
