Multi-device | support to WhatsApp

Users who registered as betas will now receive a multi-device prompt under Linked Devices in Settings, reports GSMArena, on the latest version 2.21.180.14 of the WhatsApp for iOS version.

San Francisco: The multi-device feature of the stable iOS version of the app has reportedly begun roll-out by Facebook's WhatsApp.

Users who registered as betas will now receive a multi-device prompt under Linked Devices in Settings, reports GSMArena, on the latest version 2.21.180.14 of the WhatsApp for iOS version.

You don't need to keep your phone online with multi-device support. Update to the latest version from the App Store, and select the multi-device prompt from the Devices link section to enable multi-device beta on iOS. Now, just as on the WhatsApp Web, scan the QR code for your phone.

Furthermore, WhatsApp has also begun testing a new business directory feature for Brazilian users to find local businesses and services. The function is currently being tested in Sao Paulo and will soon be expanded by the company to its users in India and Indonesia.

The test would include thousands of companies across certain areas of Sao Paulo in food, retail, and local services. In 2014, Facebook bought WhatsApp for $19 billion, but the platform had no model to monetize its millions of active daily users. The company is now looking at various ways to generate income, although it has not excluded in-app ads.
